Both Western Sydney Leisure and Recreation Service (WSLARS) and Day 2 Day Living (D2DL) increase community participation by assisting people to:
Develop new skills or relearn old skills, social networks and make new friendships
Access to a safe, non-judgmental place, where they feel accepted
Provide routine and structure
Identify and work towards individual goals
Be able to forget the stigma of society
WSLARS / D2DL is a hub of social activity consisting of both community and centre based activities and outings. The objectives of WSLARS / D2DL support programs is to focus on members goals and support needs as identified though one to one file reviews. This includes programs that encompass mental health, exercise, cooking, financial management, employment, arts and crafts, much more.
