Description

The CICADA Centre NSW assists children and adolescents with drug and alcohol issues.Three services: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Clinic, Family Service and Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Service, at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Also work with NSW health professionals to build leadership and research into the prevention of harm from drugs including alcohol.

Services Provided

Care and intervention for children (incl Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) diagnosis and referral clinic) and young people affected by drugs and alcohol;

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Clinic: Mondays and Tuesdays 8:30am to 5:00pm
Family Service: Mondays 8:30am to 5:00pm
CICADA Adolescent Service: By Appointment

FASD - GP or other medical specialist, Family Service - Parent, GP, adult drug and alcohol worker or other service providers involved with the family, Adolescent Service - medical referral.

Catering To

Children with suspected Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder, Families who have a parent with drug or alcohol history, Adolescents presenting to the hospital with alcohol or drug use , abuse or dependence.
