Signs and Symptoms
Common symptoms of an anxiety disorder can include (Reach Out Australia):
- uncontrollable worrying or fear
- racing heart
- obsessive thinking and compulsive behaviour
- tightening of the chest
- hot and cold flushes
- inability to relax
Anxiety becomes a disorder when it is irrational, excessive, too persistent and attached to situations that do not warrant it and when it interferes with the person’s daily life There are different types of anxiety disorders including post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety disorder ,Social phobias, panic disorders and specific phobias (Reach Out Australia).

Treatment
